Why this page exists
casinoblox.co.nz compares online casinos for New Zealand readers and explains how their games, bonuses and payments work. A review is a snapshot taken by people on a particular day, not a guarantee, and this page sets out where its usefulness ends. Read it together with our terms & conditions.

A review site, not a casino
You cannot place a bet on casinoblox.co.nz, and no deposit ever passes through us. The Visit and Play buttons lead to independent operators, each with its own licence, rules and customer service. A licence mentioned in a review – Curaçao, Malta, Kahnawake, Anjouan or anywhere else – is held by that operator, never by us.
Overseas casinos and New Zealand law
The Gambling Act 2003 does not stop New Zealand residents from playing at casinos based abroad, but those sites carry no New Zealand licence and the Department of Internal Affairs does not supervise them. A dispute with one is something you take up with the operator and its foreign regulator, which may be slow and hard to reach from here. The Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 opens a licensed market, with DIA licences from 1 December 2026, and the rules operators must follow will shift as it beds in. We describe casinos so you can weigh them up; we are not urging anyone to gamble.
Bonus figures
Welcome bundles, free spins and no-deposit deals get rewritten all the time. The match rate, playthrough, bet cap and expiry we print were accurate on the day we checked and may have moved since. A 35x playthrough on deposit plus bonus means turning the combined sum over 35 times before a withdrawal is allowed, and most players never get there. Before accepting an offer, open the complete bonus rules on the operator's own site.
How far a score goes
A casinoblox score reflects NZD handling, payment choice, withdrawal speed, game range, support quality and how fair the bonus rules are. Deciding how much each of those counts is an editorial call. A strong score means we rate the casino above its rivals on those points; it does not guarantee prompt payouts, nor that the casino fits the way you play. Commercial deals also affect which casinos we feature and where – the affiliate disclosure explains how.
Pokies and demo games
RTP and volatility numbers are published by the studios, and two casinos can run different RTP versions of the same pokie. RTP is a long-run average over millions of spins and says nothing useful about tonight's session. The demos in our free games section run on play credits and may not match the real-money build. No staking system removes the house edge.
Live dealer tables
Our live casino pages describe tables as they were streamed when we visited. Dealers, limits and studios change, and live games depend on your connection; what happens to a bet when a stream drops is decided by the casino's rules, not ours.
Payment methods
Which deposit and cash-out options a casino accepts, and the limits and fees attached, are decided by the casino and its payment partners and can change without warning. A method in our review may disappear later. How long a withdrawal takes depends largely on the operator's verification checks.
Cryptocurrency
Some of the casinos we review accept Bitcoin and other coins. Their value swings sharply, so a crypto deposit may be worth noticeably less by the time you cash out, and a crypto payment sent to the wrong place is very hard to get back.
No financial or legal advice
Nothing on casinoblox.co.nz is financial, tax or legal advice. For recreational players in New Zealand gambling winnings are usually not taxable, but circumstances differ, so speak to an adviser if the amounts matter. Do not play with the grocery, power-bill or rent money, and never take on debt to gamble.
Articles age
Pieces about the New Zealand market and its legislation reflect the position on the day they were written, and some remain online after events have overtaken them. Check when a page was last updated – the date sits under the heading – and confirm anything important against the original source.
Brands and images
We show casino and game studio names and logos so you can recognise them. They remain their owners' property, and their appearance here implies no endorsement of casinoblox.co.nz. Photographs from Wikimedia Commons and other libraries are reproduced under the licence credited beside them.
How far our responsibility goes
Within the limits set by law, Ixoria Web Media N.V. bears no liability for money lost at casinos, for anything done or not done by casinos or payment providers, for mistakes or delays in our content, or for material on sites we link to. Rights under New Zealand consumer law that cannot be excluded by contract are unaffected.
Reporting a mistake
Spotted something wrong – a bonus that has been withdrawn, a licence that has expired, a payout claim that no longer stands? Email us the page address and what the casino now says, and the page will be corrected promptly.
Staying in control
Fix your budget before logging in, put a deposit limit on your casino account and walk away once the budget is gone. The Gambling Helpline New Zealand, 0800 654 655, gives free and confidential help at any hour, to players and to the people around them. Any casino's support desk can also block you from its site at your request.
